I am a financially secure woman who has worked hard to accumulate an impressive nest egg. I would not consider marrying without a prenuptual agreement.

What's mine before the marriage--and yours before the marriage--remains our separate property. Accumulation of assets following the marriage should be community property: 50/50.

Just seems fair to me.

Though I wish it weren't this way it is true that we women have to secure our own futures and not trust too much.

I hate the idea of a prenup but you don't want to get burned in the end. If someone truly loves you they will see your point and realize it is a good idea.
